Ditch the scalpel with the Non-Surgical Nose Job

Nobody is perfect and it is our uniqueness that make life interesting. However, there are many individuals that are simply not pleased with their imperfections and want to make changes to achieve that perfect look.

Well, nowadays, medical technology can make this happen. In fact, millions of people all over the world undergo plastic surgery every single day. If you (or someone you love) is considering altering their nose, you may want to consider the less invasive but highly effective Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty.

This method of rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, is a non surgical procedure that involves reshaping of the nose, correcting imperfections such as humps and bumps, droopy nose tip shapes and practically any nose deformity.

With traditional surgical procedures, the individual might experience pain, scars, a long healing process or delayed results.  Therefore, medical professionals developed a non-surgical alternative to help alleviate these risks.

With non-surgical rhinoplasty, most individuals are able to correct all their nose imperfections. The only exceptions are those people who want a significantly smaller nose, or those who have some pretty major nasal deformities. In those instances, traditional surgery would be best.

For just about everyone else, non-surgical rhinoplasty is ideal. Plus, with this type of procedure, the individual has less pain and can recover more quickly. In fact, the treatment is extremely fast, easy and almost entirely painless.

Non surgical rhinoplasty enables patients to be wide awake, sit in front of a mirror, watch the entire procedure and direct it towards the results they want to see. Therefore, there will be no scalpel in the surgeon’s hands; his or her main weapon will be a wide array of injectable fillers. These fillers will be carefully and easily injected in small amounts in all the problematic locations of the nose, to give the aesthetic result they are looking for

The amazing part of the procedure is the fact that it only takes several minutes to be completed, the results will be made visible instantly and they can last for up to 2 years. Lastly, the price is significantly lower compared to traditional nose reshaping.

In conclusion, non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great breakthrough that is highly detail-orientated and it can truly make a dramatic difference. Plus, it won’t affect breathing. So, if you’re considering a “nose job”, non-surgical rhinoplasty can be the perfect choice for you and your nose.

Guide to Stretch Marks

Namit, our Clinic Manager, gives us the lowdown….

Many people contact us for stretch mark treatments, most of whom do not actually know what the root causes of stretch marks are. For many, stretch marks are a source of embarrassment and can make people feel very self conscious. There are many reasons for stretch marks, so below is an insight to them.

What are the causes of stretch marks?

This is a common question with many people. Stretching occurs when the body grows at a rate that the skin cannot keep up with. Therefore, stretch marks are most commonly associated with pregnancy but are also part of puberty: body building or quick weight gain can also result in stretch marks, so it can be a common problem for men as well.

Although our skin is elastic, when it is over stretched, the normal production of collagen is disrupted. It is this collagen which helps keep our skin tight and supple looking. There are several external factors which affect the skins natural ability to produce and maintain collagen levels such as a person’s diet and smoking.

These collagen levels affect the appearance of wrinkles and lines in the face. They also largely dictate how other blemishes, such as acne scars or even surgery scars, heal

What do Stretch Marks look like?

When stretch marks first form, they will appear as reddish purple lines. These stretch marks will appear indented and maintain a different texture to the surrounding skin. Over time, the discolouration does subside, turning lighter and less noticeable.

The ability of stretch marks to heal, however, does vary considerably from individual to individual, and there are countless stretch mark removal products and treatments on the market as a result, some more effective than others.

Closed Rhinoplasty – The Scarless Nose Job

At Castlefield Clinic Cosmetic Surgery, we work to ensure that you get all the benefits of cosmetic surgical procedures without the associated downtime. Well, with the nose job, we go a step further and eliminate scars.

Our expert surgeon uses a technique called the closed rhinoplasty which is the type of surgery that is used exclusively on the inside of the nose so no cuts take place on the nose’s outer surface.

We feel that the closed rhinoplasty is the procedure of choice for people who want to change the size, shape or projection of their nose. Because incisions and shaping take place inside the nostrils, there is no risk of external scarring, and swelling is kept to an absolute minimum. The closed rhinoplasty is our preferred choice to modify the appearance of your nose. You can correct a hump on the bridge of the nose, you can raise or reduce the tip, straighten the septum, and a great side effect is that the nasal airway can be cleared and breathing becomes easier.

When combined with Twilight Sedation, the whole procedure really does become a lot more comfortable and quicker to recover from, with our patients typically reporting that they don’t feel the need to take any form of pain relief within 48 hours of their operation. Compare that with the weeks of bruising and swelling from a more traditional rhinoplasty, and you can see why the closed nose job is our preferred choice.
